CHEYENNE CLEMENTI
Cheyenne Clementi is a photographer and visual artist born in Milan.
After art school, she put her academic studies on hold to travel around Italy and Europe, discovering photography as a tool for exploration and documentation. During these years, of which she was an integral part, she documented the golden age of the rave and traveller movements, capturing their everyday reality through an intimate, insider’s perspective.
She subsequently obtained a degree in Cultural Heritage and attended a specialist course at the Scuola Civica del Cinema in Milan, deepening her understanding of photographic language and the narrative construction of the image.
Her research unfolds through documentary photography, focusing on communities, identity and personal experiences. Her work lies between observation and relationship, using the image as a tool for social inquiry and memory.
VALENTINA MORANDI
She attended the Liceo Artistico S. Marta in Milan. In 1997, she moved to Bologna and, in no time at all, she and a group of friends formed one of Italy’s first crews, the “Tekno Mobil Squad”
From that moment on, her camera has always been with her on her countless journeys around Italy and Europe, documenting raves, teknivals and daily life at Bologna’s historic social centre, “Livello57”.
In 2004, she moved to Amsterdam, working as a decorator. Returning to Milan in 2007, she worked as a graphic designer and painter, beginning to exhibit her paintings in various Milanese galleries.
Her passion for drawing and illustration led her to the world of tattooing, a profession she still practises alongside her work as a graphic designer, illustrator, painter and decorator.
